"The
exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess
the towns of the Negev." (Obadiah 20)
Thank You
I want to thank the host of you who responded to my
first (new) newsletter, which went out a week ago. I'm
told we had a better than average reaction to this report.
I also want to appreciate those of you who have promised
to put us on your contribution list this New Year. A
few of you have already sent me kind notes with warm
promises of setting your contribution in the mail post
haste.
I'm happy to report that we're finally getting the works
in terms of automation and computerization. Therefore,
very soon you'll be able to purchase materials as well
as make your contributions via credit card. We're also
giving our website a major overhaul. You'll like it!
Wait and see! In fact, if you go to www.4sephardim.
com you can track our progress that'll begin this week.
Meanwhile, we're also upgrading the television production
arm of our work. God has tremendously blessed us with
FREE production and airtime on a major satellite television
station called GLC, God's Learning Channel. Its signal
covers much of the Southwest of our nation as well as
foreign locations such as the Philippines and the Middle
East. I now have around 70 half-hour broadcast- quality
productions on DVD in English and over 30 in Spanish.
As you can see, your contributions and donations go
a long, long way with us.
On the Israeli front, our personal aliyah application
paperwork has gone from our domestic aliyah center in
the U.S. to the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem. It's presently
in Israel's Ministry of Interior in Jerusalem. Recent
reports tell us that "it's looking good" and
for us not to worry about it. Our file is one of only
two cases that are unprecedented. So we're at the verge
of making history. Baruch Ha'Shem, Bless His Name.
We have just set in motion a new strategy for the work
we do. While we continue to do more and more of what
we've done for the last 12 years, we're now laser- pointing
at two specific targets. We're zeroing in on "institutional
advocacy" which means we lobby the "people
in power" that have any say towards the aliyah
of Sephardic Anusim. On the other hand, we're pin-pointing
Sephardic Hispanic/Latinos who are ready to enter the
rigorous pathway leading to aliyah! This is a most complex
arena but we've had good success thus far. If you think
you're ready and/or have a small group of those that
believe they too are ready for this step in their lives,
send me a blurb via email. I'm committed to follow up
by telephone and in person with cases that prove to
be seriously ready.
Pioneering Partners
In closing let me say that the vision that lies before
us is MUCH larger than Helen and I, and can ONLY be
fulfilled through the faithful partnership of people
like you. We not only need your prayers we also need
a grand army of people who will hold up our hands through
financial support in order to maintain the mammoth advances
